The Diary: Cont's on page. 87 Page. 84 and plunged over the mountain side into the lake, riders and horses both dissappearing from view. The Diving Elks were the next on the programme. The Elks slowly made their way up th mountain side and on reaching a point far above where the horses had jumped they slipped down the side from the dizzy height and gave a plunge striking the water with great force which closed over it as it went under. The other elk then made its dive and we passed out of the building very much pleased with the performance. On the corner of the Midway we reached Pabsts Restuarent in which could be seen people enjoying their cold glasses of beer. Just opposite the restaurant was another Midway show "DREAMLAND". Over the entrance was moulded a large face of a woman. On her headgar were the words " DREAMLAND "The lady was represented as sleeping and in dreamland - hence the name of the show, On either side of this handsome life like face fell long ringlets of her hair. Around her neck were two rows little balls representing a pearl necklace upon which were the words " Midway Mystery ". This face was painted a flesh color with rosy cheeks and golden hair making it look quite life like.
