The Diary: P A G E. 74. Cont'd on page.77. We decided however that we would not enter the show until later in the day and with a hop skip and a jump we landed in front of the Phillipine Village. The entrance was an exact representation of the Fillipine house in the Phillipine Islands. Outside the spieler had the Phillipine Water Buffalo on exhibition and was giving a lecture about its habits about the Filipinos and at last switched off and began a great story about the wonders inside the show. The Phillipine band then rendered several hideous and ear splitting selections and we escaped across the street and took refuge beside the BOSTOCK GOLEN CHARIOTS. The Golden Chariots was a new kind of a merry go round. The seats were shaped like chariots . They were painted red with gold trimmings. When the Chariots were in motion the electrical piano in the center rendered several beautiful selections. The Chariots moved like a common merry go round with one exception. Instead of moving on a level platform, it ran on one that was wavy like with a down and up movement. When the Chariots had came to a stanstill the temptation was to great and we all scrambled aboard and secured seats. To the tune of " JUST BECAUSE SHE MADE THOSE GOO - GOO EYES " The Chariots began to move and in a few moments we were spinning around in great shape. Up and down the
